Zambia is below the equator, so our seasons are the opposite of those in the USA. Right now we are enjoying autumn. The temperatures are cool--even downright cold-- at night and in the morning. The afternoons are warm, but when the sun goes down we grab our sweatshirts and fleece jackets.Everyone is busy harvesting the maize crop. The rains were good this year, and most people have a bountiful harvest.
David is shown here in our maize field. We went in on shares with two other farmers. Our crop will be used to feed the hungry and provide seed for next year's planting season.
